Richard Dockery is a community leader, mentor, and civic advocate with more than 25 years of experience advancing community engagement, youth development, and faith-based initiatives in Buffalo, New York.

With a certification in restorative justice circles, his consulting work spans a range of organizations, including the National Witness Project, where he designed and implemented youth engagement programming as part of a community data collection and inquiry initiative supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Reinvestment Fund. Through this work, he facilitated youth-centered discussions, educational gatherings, and engagement activities that helped inform community-based planning and decision-making.

Deeply committed to service, Richard has successfully coordinated charitable outreach efforts that unite faith-based institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private-sector partners to address pressing community needs. Notably, in response to Buffalo's historic "Snowvember" storm, he organized a collaborative relief effort that provided winter clothing, hot meals, and essential resources to residents in need.

A dedicated advocate for individuals, families, and neighborhoods, Richard is an active member of the Hamlin Park Taxpayer's Association, where he advocates for pedestrian-oriented infrastructure improvements, neighborhood beautification, and community revitalization initiatives. 

He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Counseling, to be conferred in 2027 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo State and an Associate's Degree from Erie Community College.
